Educational Squash Tournament to partner father Colin Hollis to the final
Sasha and Colin notched up 16 points to win their division, with second placed Alison and Melanie Holmes also qualifying for this weekend's event at the Devonshire courts.
A total of 43 teams comprising one child under 13 and an adult relative, started the tournament three months ago, playing round robin against the other teams in their divisions.
The winners and runners-up in each of the 11 divisions, plus two third place lucky losers made it through.
JUNIOR GOLF GLF Thirteen year-old Aaron James, beaten in the recent junior match play final, put that disappointment behind him as he bounced back with a fine 72 at Ocean View last week to lead the BJGA Group Five.
James had birdies on the first and 11th holes to finish two shots clear of brother David, while Fraser Hunt took third on 77.
In Group Four, Colin Brown carded 79 to beat out Aaron Burrows by one shot.
Ted Terceira placed third on 83.
Tim Burland topped Group Three with an 86, beating out Davin Smith on retrogression while Paul Murphy placed third on 87.
In Group Two, Alex Doyle fired 43 over nine holes, one better than Sean Dunkley and two in front of third placed Barry Houghton.
Among the novices, Jaimie MacMillan, shot 35 to take top spot on retrogression over Mark Tatem. Ricardo Dill placed third with 36.
