Equestrians riding high

Association Junior Show Jumping competition over the weekend, finishing in a first place tie with Jamaica.

Competing on home soil, but with borrowed rides, the Bermuda tandem of Philip Correia and Christy Holder garnered 12 points for the first round, after two days of competition at the National Equestrian Centre on Vesey Street.

Julian Hyde captured overall individual honours, with Correia a close second, Franny Fuller of Antigua third, and Holder back in the fourth spot.

Following Bermuda and Jamaica in the team standings were Antigua (nine points) and Trinidad (three).

The next round of the regional competition is set to take place in Barbados next month.
