Fans were treated to a programme of exciting and entertaining harness pony racing at Vesey Street yesterday.
The black mare Ponder Babe returned to action with a first and a second for Daniel Greenslade. She and TW Second Try have one leg out of the 1:13/1 to 1:15/1 time bar and are headed to the already crowded 1:10/2-1:13 division.
Karen Southerland made her debut as the new owner/driver of Diamondway and won the Noah's Ark feature race of the day.
The fastest times yesterday were turned in by Grand Shady with Michael DeCosta and Murray Terceira's Carolina Jubilee.
They each won a heat in the free-for-all in 1:07/1. William Madeiros had two wins with Abby Dabby Doo, while other double winners were Crunch Time, Jennifer Time and Mowtown Scott.
Nicholas DeCosta and David Lopes were the day's top drivers with three wins each.
