Fisher strikes gold again

Caribbean Masters Championships in grand style yesterday by winning three gold medals within a period of five hours in Eugene, Oregon.

According to husband/coach Eddie Fisher, among Jennifer's triumphs was the establishment of a new world record for her age group in the 2,000 metre steeplechase over women's barriers in a time of seven minutes, 24.89 seconds.

Only recently Fisher reported she set a new world record in her age group over men's barriers with a time of 7:43.

The steeplechase is not normally a track event for women.

Fisher's other gold medals yesterday came in the 800 metres which she won in 2:14.14 and the 400 metres where she was first in a time in the low 58 second region. The exact time was not available last night.
