Four-goal Bean stars in Village rout
North Village ravaged luckless St. George's for nine goals in the Crystal Palace Youth Cup semi-final which served as a curtain-raiser to the FA Cup at White Hill Field.
Five goals came in the first half to be followed by four more in the second as Village confirmed a date at National Stadium with Devonshire Colts, who defeated Somerset in an earlier semi-final.
Chief destroyer was Ralph Bean, who showed glimpses of talent once exhibited by his father and former Bermuda international of the same name.
The younger Bean exploded for four goals as he ripped an already tattered St.
George's defence to shreds, scoring in the 17th, 33rd, 38th and 52nd minutes.
Single tallies were added by Vernon Tankard (23rd), Kaiya Darrell (39th), Justice Smith (54th, Daniel Jennings (75th) and Reginald Paynter (78th).
