Freisenbruch saves Panthers

Panthers were missing six of their regular players, but put in a gutsy performance against Upstarts in the Men's Hockey League.

Mark Norman opened Upstarts' account towards the end of the first half and Martin Murphy, scoring a bullet of a goal, made it 2-0 a few minutes later.

The young Panthers battled well in the second half and pulled a goal back when Gregory Rose slotted the ball home.

Justin Freisenbruch then levelled the score when he converted a well deserved penalty.

Police 0 Wasps 2 A scrappy game saw both teams struggling to get to grips with an increasingly muddy pitch.

Both teams gave it their all right to the final whistle and while Police had their chances, they just couldn't find their scoring ways.

The opposite was true for Wasps who managed to put the ball in the back of the net twice, Richard Adlam and Scott DeCosta the scorers to secure the victory.
