Gibbons gets to play in Lord's final
milestone this weekend when he plays at famous England ground Lord's in a two-day final for the IBEX trophy on Saturday and Sunday.
Gibbons' club team Wycombe Cricket Club meets Witchmore Cricket Club for the big match.
Wycombe are the representatives of the Middlesex league where they just captured the title while their opponents represent the Surrey League where West Indies Test players Ian Bishop and Jimmy Adams played during the summer.
"I'm really looking forward to the match and the opportunity of playing at this great ground. I expect it to be a tremendous match. They are said to be a solid team and their record proves this after beating many clubs with world renowned players such as Bishop and Adams,'' said Gibbons.
"For those who may think that there are nothing but old players in these leagues they better think again. Bishop and Adams are just a few of the Test players from various countries who are involved with teams in these two leagues in particular.'' Gibbons is the overseas professional at Wycombe while the overseas player at Witchmore is from Australia.
Wycombe won their league for the first time in 11 years with a record of 12 victories, six draws and three defeats. They finished with 378 points, beating North London CC into second place with 345 points.
Gibbons played in 17 games, scored 563 runs and claimed 38 wickets.
