Impressive Zelkin has big bowl lead

The talented youngster shot a 73 yesterday to add to his first round 72, and now leads nearest challenger Chris Garland by 12 shots.
And Garland, who has had back-to-back rounds of 78, is himself 10 shots ahead of Michael Fahy in the race for honours in the 15-21 age group.
In the 13-14 age group, a second round 90 saw Robbie Spurling lose his lead to Quinton Sherlock and Michael Sims.
Sims and Craig Brown had the best rounds of the day yesterday when they shot 81. Sherlock had an 82 to put him level with Sims on a two-round total of 168.
Spurling, who led after the first round in which he shot 79, is a stroke behind the leaders on 169.
The novice group is led by Justin Barritt on a two-round total of 181. He is followed by William Butterworth on 193 and Lisa Broomfield, whose 91 was the best round of the day yesterday, on 200.
Bermuda's Patsy McLaughlin and Canadian Heather Colhoun leapt to the top of the leader board with a net 63 in yesterday's second round of the Eighth Annual Ladies' Invitation Tournament at Mid Ocean.
The pair's two-round total of 131 puts them two strokes clear of first-round joint leaders Bea Williams of Bermuda and her South Carolina playing partner Brenda Helmer in the competition for the Arton Trophy.
Bermuda's Shirley Wildi and her Florida teammate Reggie Hawes who held a share of the lead after the first day's play dropped to third in the net contest yesterday, with Zita Legere and Patricia Sheehan of the US.
However, Wildi and Hawes boasted the best gross score for the second day in row -- shooting a 72 to add to their opening day 71.
Their two-round gross total of 143 puts them three shots ahead of their nearest rivals Bermuda's Madeline Joell and her teammate Robyn Roberson of Georgia who shot the second best round of the day yesterday -- a 73.
Bermuda's Jean Mylrea and Ginette Spinucci of Georgia are in contention for both gross and net honours, lying third in the former and fifth in the latter.
Lady Langley and her Canadian partner June Eyton, and Judy Kitson of Bermuda and her teammate Maisie Barlow of Pennsylvania are the other pairings in contention for the net prize.
