Jean-Pierre leads home Round the Sound field
circle, took advantage of the absence of a number of leading road runners to win yesterday's Round the Sound Race.
Now over 40, Jean-Pierre also became the first Master for several years to win a road race outright as the Masters dominated yesterday's event with three in the top five.
Jean-Pierre clocked 44 minutes and 30 seconds over the undulating 7.3 mile race with another Master, Van Doyling following in second place eight seconds later.
Miguel Butterfield placed third in 46:35, Luc Laurent fourth in 46:56 and master Mark Albouy fifth in 47:40.
Anna Eatherley raced to her second successive victory, following up her win in the recent Partner Re 5K, to take ladies honours yesterday in 50:21, just ahead of second placed Jane Christie, the first female master, in 50:43.
Glennis Benjamin was the third female in 53:34.
