Kyle hits late winner
The Bermudian striker opened his account for struggling English First Division side Stoke City with a last minute winner, coming on as substitute against another relegation threatened team, Portsmouth, who had taken the lead in the 69th minute through John Durnin.
Stoke, desperate for a win to keep alive their hopes of survival, equalised in the 78th minute through Ally Pickering before Lightbourne's last-gasp winner which lifted Stoke off the bottom.
Today, Stoke are away to Crewe Alexander while Shawn Goater's Manchester City entertain Birmingham City. On Saturday, Manchester City drew 2-2 away to Wolverhampton after twice taking the lead through Jamie Pollock in the 13th minute and Kevin Horlock in the 63rd.
Wolves' second equaliser came five minutes from the end. Manchester City head second-from-bottom Stoke by one point with four matches remaining. Only four points separate the bottom eight teams. The last three will be relegated.
