Lister rules the lanes
for the finals of the American Airlines Bowling Spectacular.
Two thirds of the qualifying rounds have been completed and only three weeks remain for others to qualify.
Conrad Lister, heading to this month's Pan-Am Games, was in good form again in the latest rounds, but he had to share his fortune with Chris Leverock and Kenneth Ford.
Lister was the high scorer in the scratch division, receiving top prize for a series of 682, but he also got a high game award for a first game of 257.
Leverock's 253 was out in front in the second game, while Henry Hughes bowled well enough to claim the third game with 262.
In the handicap division, Hughes was the star of the evening. His high series was 748. That score was just eight pins above Oscar Andrade's score of 740.
Lister was one pin adrift and had to settle for third prize.
The remaining prize winners were Hughes 724, Elliott Douglas 720, Conrad Lister 700, Ann Harris 690, Norman Beek 688 and Wes Wilvert 682.
Handicap high games were rolled by Hughes (298) and Leverock (272).
