The Bermuda Broadcasting Company is offering coverage from both the Canadian Broadcasting Company and Caribbean Media Corporation on ZFB TV 7 (Cable 2), while allowing Bermuda Cablevision the option of carrying alternate coverage via the American network NBC.
"The Bermuda Broadcasting Company will use its exclusive rights to extend the coverage of the Sydney Olympics to the broadest possible audience over terrestrial television and on the system of Bermuda Cablevision Ltd.,'' read a BBC press release.
"Unlike previous Olympics, the Bermuda audience will benefit from three different networks on location at Sydney's Olympic Village.'' Sleepless -- or at least sleep-shortened -- nights are promised for those able to view the colourful quadrennial spectacle, with the first edition appearing in the form of the Opening Ceremony this morning which was carried live this morning starting at 4.45 a.m.
Sports action will start being shown later this evening at 7 p.m., while Saturday's schedule debuts at 1 a.m.
