Paget revival stuns Social

Social Club were last night kicking themselves after blowing a four-goal lead and allowing bottom club Paget to snatch a draw in their Second Division match at PHC Stadium.

First-half goals by Troy Darrell, Webster Mills and Rembert Hill, who also scored in the second, gave the home side a seemingly insurmountable advantage.

But while the Bluebirds rested on their laurels, Paget staged a remarkable comeback scoring three goals in the space of four minutes with Mark Tucker and Antoine Simmons (two) tallying. This set the stage for Anthony (Rango) Stovell to cap things off with the equaliser a minute from time.

The result kept Social Club in third place, but they now trail leaders Vasco by two points.

S.Rangers 2, Dev. Cougars 1 Second-half strikes by Southampton Rangers' Ryan Belboda and Lamar Seymour offset an earlier goal by Cougars' veteran Dale Russell, allowing them to vault into second place in the league standings.

The previously unbeaten Cougars fell all the way to fourth with the loss.

Port Royal 0, Vasco 4 Vasco continue to make mincemeat of their opponents and this week Port Royal were the sacrificial lambs placed on the chopping block.

Although Royal did well to stay level in the first half Vasco poured it on in the second with Karl Roberts, Earl Richardson, Larance Durham and Derek Thomas all contributing to the final scoreline.

Vasco have now won all three of their matches and have yet to concede a goal.

Somerset Eagles 3, Prospect 3 Somerset Eagles produced a spirited fightback to draw 3-3 with Prospect at White Hill field.

Scores by Robin Hollinsid and Andrew Rollins (two) gave Prospect a 3-1 lead at the half with Terrence Christopher netting for Eagles.

However a second score by Christopher and an own goal by Dennis Archer allowed the home side to escape with a share of the spoils.

Eagles' Johnny Madeiros was sent off late in the match for a deliberate handball after earlier being cautioned.
