The opening game between Centre Re and Arthur Anderson proved a `barn burner' as the bats boomed for both sides and when the dust finally cleared Centre stood as slim 21-10 victors.
Adrian Jennings led the way for Centre, going four-for-four with a triple, a double and four RBI, while for Anderson team-mates Kim Roach and Craig Bodenstaff both garnered four RBI.
Next up were Butterfield and Steinhoff and Skandia Sabres, with the end result a 17-11 triumph for the former.
In the nightcap Marsh and McLennan squeezed past Chips 16-14.
Meanwhile, games played on Tuesday had Warwick Renegades defeat Ernst and Young 21-15, PTB beat Team Fashions 18-11 and Robin Hood outlast BF&M 13-9.
