St.George's go top
St. George's surged to the top of the First Division thanks to two late goals at Wellington Oval yesterday.
Skipper Marlon Outerbridge gave the East Enders the lead when he converted a penalty after 73 minutes. The spot kick was awarded after Social Club goalkeeper Shejuan Swan had pulled down Del Tyrrell.
The second goal came 12 minutes later when Herbie Bascome scored from a goalmouth scramble.
Social Club had their share of chances, most coming in the first half, but they found goalkeeper Troy Hall in fine form.
St.David's 2 Paget 0 Paget surrendered their hold on first place when they were decisively beaten by a young, energetic St. David's team at Lord's.
O.J.Minors put the East Enders ahead with a superb effort after 23 minutes and Dejuan Paynter followed up with their second nine minutes into the second half.
Paget had a miserable day and never looked remotely like a team challenging for the title. Their jaded attack gave St. David's goalkeeper George O'Brien an easy day between the sticks.
Somerset Eagles 1 Prospect 3 Prospect continued to impress with a solid performance at White Hill Field, moving up one spot from sixth to fifth while sending Eagles crashing to their first league loss.
Big striker John Richmond put the visitors ahead after just three minutes and Prospect continued to apply the pressure. Richmond got his second after 35 minutes and Clifford Roberts gave them a commanding 3-0 lead with a fine goal after 75 minutes.
Daniel Reece was about to add another near the end, but as he rounded goalkeeper Adrian Brown he was brought down and Burrows was shown the red card for the offence.
Ireland Rangers 3 Boulevard 2 Ireland Rangers returned to winning form after a recent lean streak. Two goals from livewire forward Jonathan Bean served to deliver the goods in favour of the West Enders, who claimed only their second victory in five league outings.
Rangers led 2-1 at the break courtesy of a Bean score and another via the penalty spot by Donald Madeiros, while veteran Kenneth Darrell replied for Boulevard, also by way of the spot.
The second half saw the home side put the affair beyond reach with another Bean tally, as Boulevard came up a goal short, Shawn Grant netting once.
WOMEN'S LEAGUE Little Venice 2 Wolves Girls 5 Shalana Smith scored twice to lead Wolves Girls to this triumph at BAA. They led 2-0 at the half.
Talitha Davis put Wolves ahead after seven minutes and Dawnette Smith added a second after 34.
They went ahead 3-0 on a goal by Kamiliah Smith after 47 minutes before Little Venice hit back with two quick goals after 54 minutes and 53 minutes by Laura Leblanc and Kristen Douglas respectively.
But with the score 3-2 Shalana Smith put the result out of reach with two late goals.

Also among the goals were Waynesha Bean and Sherry Wade.
