The first half of the season has finally ended and the standings reflect very few surprises.

From the beginning of the season, when the five-a-side tournament saw Devonshire Colts Minors and Mini-Minors take titles, very little has changed.

In the Bantam Division (under 16) Colts took on PHC at PHC Stadium with no substitutes and without several key players but still managed to defeat the young Zebras 5-0. Aljame Zuill scored three goals and Kevin Hurdle and Julian Francis one each.

Second-placed Somerset had no mercy on Dandy Town and blasted them 11-0 as L.Wilson (four), D.Showers (two) and H.Hunt, D.Dent, Q.Horton, P.Jones and J.Best all scoring one apiece.

North Village matched that by hammering a hapless BAA side 12-0 while at the bottom of the division St. David's came away with their first victory of the season against Southampton Rangers 7-1.

This weekend sees the first round of the knockout cup with St. David's taking on BAA and Rangers playing Wolves.

The Minor Division (under 14) also produced plenty of goals last weekend as North Village shook BAA 14-0 at Bernard Park. Village continue to lead this division by having played two games more than Devonshire Colts. Colts had a good day by beating Paget 8-0.

In another goal blitz, Dandy Town crashed 11-0 to Somerset as T.Smith scored four goals, A.Burrows two, O.Osdaille two and D.Lambert, J.Butterfield and R.Simons one each. There was also a Town own goal in the tally.

In other action, Wolves outscored Boulevard 6-4, Somerset Eagles beat St.

George's 3-1 and PHC blasted St. David's 7-0.

In Mini-Minors A action, North Village maintained their unbeaten record by beating BAA 3-0. Second-placed Devonshire Colts came from one goal down to beat PHC 3-2 on goals from Jahkee Smith and Jamel Blakeney (two).

Third-placed Hamilton Parish beat Paget 10-2 as Dion Stovell hit both Paget goals. Dandy Town and Somerset are tied for fourth and Somerset have only themselves to blame after allowing a nine-man Town team to beat them 2-1 on goals from D.Rogers while L.Trew replied for Somerset.

Boulevard drew 3-3 with Wolves in the other match.

The Mini-Minor B Division saw Village stay on top with a 6-0 win over bottom team PHC. Hotels defeated Somerset 4-1 as Matthew Durrant scored a hat-trick and M.Watson got the other for Hotels.

Wolves, on a four-goal effort by G.Peniston and two from R.Roberts, beat Southampton 6-3. Other action saw BAA beat Boulevard 5-3 and Devonshire Colts edge by North Village Kids 2-1.

There was only one Premier Division match played at Frog Lane had to be abandoned at Frog Lane with Devonshire Colts and North Village tied at 2-2 at the end of regulation time in the John W. Swan Cup.

Because the match started late the referee abandoned it at full time to allow the First Division match between Colts and Dandy Town to start. The replay for this match will be tonight at PHC Stadium (7.00).

The first round of the Bantam KO Cup sees St. David's playing BAA at Shelly Bay and Southampton meeting Wolves at Southampton Oval. Both matches start at 11.15.
