RUGBY RUG The debut of Bermuda's under-18 rugby team ended in a 30-0 loss to Brookline College of Massachusetts on Wednesday.
The product of Bermuda Rugby Football Union's new youth programme, the team surrendered six tries in a three-period game. "It was the first time playing a rugby match for a lot of the guys,'' said BRFU president John Williams.
Not all was lost for Bermuda, as Chris Jones, who plays league rugby with Police, was named man of the match.
The same two teams will play on Sunday at 12.30 p.m. in a prelude to the Nicholl Shield final at National Sports Club.
