The away leg of the youngsters' qualifying match against the US Virgin Islands was scheduled for Sunday, but Bermuda Football Association general secretary David Sabir said yesterday the match had been postponed because of lack of available seats on flights to the Caribbean country.

Bermuda lead 4-0 from the home leg and provided the side coached by Kenny Thompson can complete their aggregate victory over two legs, they will advance to the finals in Haiti, which start on July 19.

Sabir said: "We are in negotiations with the USVI. Our plan is to see if we can get the match played in July, the weekend before the finals start, so the team could fly straight to Haiti without coming back -- if they get through.'' Sabir added that the USVI were pushing for a June date for the second leg, but Bermuda had objected to that on the grounds that it could disrupt children's studies at the end of their school term.
