The match will begin at 1.00 with combined teams from Willow Cuts and Somerset Bridge taking on a Southampton Rangers-Warwick team. All proceeds from the match will go towards the Western Counties youth programme.

Entertainment after the match will include a demonstration by the majorettes.

Teams are yet to be finalised but some of the players who are expected to participate include Charles Swan, George Bremar, Charles Fubler and Kenny Cann of Willow Cuts; Woodgate Simmons, Junius Durrant, Anthony Roberts Sr, and Eugene Woods of Somerset Bridge; Eldon Raynor, Ellsworth Wainwright, Shiraz Ali, John Tucker and Quinton Sherlock of Southampton Rangers; and Gary Fray, Colin Blades, Sinclair Caines and Shirley Hunt of Warwick.

ATHLETICS ATH Bermudian Ashley Couper has been voted school MVP and chosen for the All Star track and field team for the New England Independent Schools League.

Recently graduated from St. George's School in Rhode Island, 17-year-old Couper was the independent schools league champion in the 800 metres (2.24), 1500 metres (4.59), and high jump (5 feet). She was undefeated in the 800 and was a member of school record-breaking 4x100 and 4x400 teams.

Couper, who will attend Meuchatel Junior College in Switzerland next year, is the daughter of sailor Colin Couper, who recently competed in the Marion to Bermuda race, and runner Peggy Couper, who is currently representing Bermuda in the 11th World Veterans Athletic Championships in Buffalo, New York.

GOLF GLF Ocean View's number one team hold a four point lead going into Bermuda Golf Association's final weekend of play in the A Division of the Amstel League.

Their nearest rivals, as the league wraps up at Mid Ocean tomorrow, are the Bermuda Junior Golf Association team.

In the B Division, the BGA men's team will try to hold on to their slim one point lead over Ocean View's second string as the final match takes place at Belmont.
