Wright clocked 16 minutes, five seconds over the flat course, which was 12 seconds faster than Dill, with James Cooper (16:39) further back in third.

The triumph allowed Wright to capture the two-race series title on account of an earlier win back on September 14, giving him a combined time of 32:38.

Meanwhile, 1994 Commonwealth Games participant Jennifer Fisher (17:46) topped the women's field ahead of Julia Hawley (19:02) and Jane Christie (19:31).

Fisher, like Wright, also was the overall series winner in (36:48).
