The ATP Challenger event, at the Coral Beach and Tennis Club from December 6-12, will feature some of the brightest names in men's tennis. Already confirmed are Jaime Yzaga, David Wheaton, Aaron Krickstein, Grant Connell, Bryan Shelton, Patrick McEnroe, Paul Annacone, and Luke and Murphy Jensen. At least two Bermudian players, Billy Way and Donald Evans, will also compete in the week-long event.
Classic organisers have until November 15 to round out the field with several more big names still possible, including Mats Wilander and Jonathan Stark.
The pricing scheme for tickets was revealed yesterday with ground passes for matches on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday available for $5. General admission tickets will vary from $10 during daytime matches (Monday to Thursday) to $15 (Friday). Ticket prices for evening matches have been established at $15 (Tuesday and Thursday) and $20 (Friday).
Qualifying matches will take place on December 4 and 5 with a $3 admission fee. Persons under 16 will be admitted free for the qualifiers and charged half-price for the others.
All evening matches begin at 7 p.m. with daytime matches on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday beginning at 10.30 a.m. There will be a noon start on Thursday, Friday and Saturday with the match on Sunday starting at 1 p.m.
Tickets can be obtained at The Footlocker, The Pro Shop, Upstairs Golf and Tennis, Sportseller, Sports `R' Us, and the Tennis Stadium.
Tickets will also be available at the Visitors Service Bureau beginning on November 22.
MOTOCROSS SCR Kemo Simons is on a mission to win an unprecedented second 80cc championship and on Sunday he rode flawlessly to beat out seven senior riders in three motos at Coney Island.
Jamel Hassell, also on a Yahama, fell out of touch after falls to finish ahead of Howard Paynter and Jamie Ford. Sean and Jason DeSilva were the other finishers.
It was a Yahama one-two finish after three motos in the 125 C races as Chris Maxwell got a hat-trick over his brother Leroy. Kyle Constable was third and Michael Burgess fourth.
After a two year lay-off Buddy Joell returned to competition in the 125 B class and in the first moto Joell had a victory as Aaron Pace finished a distant second. Devon Moss brought his Honda in third.
The order was changed in the second moto with Pace putting his Suzuki out front. Joell, on a Kawasaki, played catch-up for second while Moss was third again.
The third moto was a repeat of the second with Justin Belboda easing into third.
BOWLING BOW Buy and Sell rolled the top team series of 2,767 and third high game of 932 on their way to a 22-5 thrashing of Sparks in latest Barritt's Sportsmen's League action.
Sparks claimed the third high series of 2,585 and 886 game while Hank Rawlins had a 610 third high series for them in a losing cause.
The closest match of the night saw Young Blood edge by Warwick Whites 14-13 with Lloyd Evans heading the winners with the second high game of 232. For Warwick Whites, Hilton Hayward topped the games list with a 235 and was second with his 619 series.
Pembroke Juniors claimed the second high series of 2,748 and top game of 967 on their way to a 23-4 mauling of Social Club. Woody Jones was the top bowler for Juniors with the top series of 627 and 230 game.
In the other match, Mini Forwarders beat Warwick Reds 17-10 despite their opponents' 934 second high team game and 2,569 series. Ed White led the losers with a 232 third high game while Dudley Browne of Mini Forwarders had a 605 series.

POOL POO Dennis Parsons scored 47 points to lead league leaders Swinging Doors I to a 210-179 victory over War Vets II. Gary Bascome and Terrence Parsons chipped in with 43 points each while the high scorer for War Vets was Joe Hayward with 44.
Robin Hood I also remained undefeated behind solid performances from Mark O'Connor (47 points), Wayne Adams (46) and Freya Robinson (44) as they drilled Vasco III 211-165.
Greg Falzone made his second straight 50 and was joined by Paula Madeiros (47) and Sandy Sandhu (46) as Queen's Club walloped Frog & Onion 222-150.
Vasco I were easy 213-162 winners over Mariners led by Paul Dodge and Mike Zimmerman who scored 47 and 45 points respectively.

SCHOOL SPORT VOL Berkeley were the surprise winners of the Bermuda Secondary Schools Junior Boys Volleyball Tournament on Monday.
Despite losing to Northlands in their first game, they proceeded to beat Whitney Institute and Warwick Academy on their way to a hard-fought victory over Saltus in the final. Berkeley won the final 15-12.
The Senior Boys tournament was held on Tuesday at the Mount Saint Agnes Gymnasium with the home team and Saltus emerging as the two most skillful teams of the bunch.
Mount Saint Agnes won their pool by beating Chaffee High School and Whitney.
Saltus, meanwhile, progressed to the semifinals brushing aside the challenges of Northlands and Berkeley.
In the final, Saltus narrowly topped Mount Saint Agnes by two sets to one.
