Despite rolling shorthanded, New Mix Ups scored a 231 -61 victory over Team Spirit. Clevie Harris had a co-second high game of 235 and second high series of 598 to lead the winners, while Sterlin Smith was the only roller to beat 500 for the losers.
Terminators defeated Thompsons 221 -71 as the winners posted a third high team game of 923 with Steve Wales leading the way. Only Noel Pearman could produce any score of note for the losers.
Stevedoring Services -- posting the second high team game and series of 967 and 2,715 respectively -- scored a convincing 22-8 victory over Signature Card. Miles Smith rolled the second high game of 235 while team-mate Gilbert DeCosta did one better with 236 and he also took top series of 630. George Ben had top series for the losers.
The last game was a sneak preview of this week's eagerly-awaited position round match with league-leading Tools & Equipment notching a 20-10 win over Goslings. Along the way, Tools & Equipment managed to post the third high team series of 2,699 with Goslings rolling the next high.
The two teams square off again tonight with other matches featuring Marlboro v Stevedoring; Thompsons v Terminators; Signature Card v New Mix Ups and Spoilers v Team Spirit.
Buy & Sell clobbered Mini Forwarders 25-2 during Barritt's Sportsmen's League action last week.
Leading the charge for Buy & Sell was Miles Smith with individual high series of 580. Equally impressive was the way Buy & Sell dominated their opponents, registering top team series (2,574) and second high game (876).
In another one-sided game, Pembroke Juniors slammed the door on Youngblood with a resounding 251 -11 triumph.
Woody Jones rolled second high series (565) while the team came up with third high individual series of 2,479.
Warwick Whites scored a narrow 14-13 victory over Social Club as Harry Bean tied Yummy Easton of Social Club for individual high game (219). David Abraham was another bright spot for Social Club with third high individual high series (562).
Warwick Reds defeated Sparks 17-10 in the only other game, with Victor Simons blazing the winning trail scoring third high game (210) on the night.
Sparks notched third team high game (842) in the losing effort.

BRIDGE BDG Three local teams remained in the knockout event as the Bermuda Regional Bridge tournament continued on Tuesday at the Southampton Princess Hotel.
Tom and Rosemarie Goodwin of Maine locked up first place in Flight A in the stratified pairs section while Don and Lena Jackson were second and Carol Dalzell and Jim Linhart finished third.
Flight B winners were Ross Quigley and Dan Macneil of Canada with second place going to Ram Hira and John Hall. In third were Bermudians Frank Ramlal and Charles Hall.
Quigley and Macneil grabbed Flight C honours with second and third spot captured by Bermuda teams -- David Cordon and Debbie Roberts in second and Stephanie Wilkes and Eddie Kyme taking third.
The Trimingham Pairs was won by Bob and Donna House of Michigan. Second place finishers were Phyllis Shapiro and Vivian Chrom and in third were Paul Portanova and Alex Kornel.
Side games were won by Elgin McCutcheon and Judy Davies in Flight B and locals Des Nash and Tracy Care in Flight C during the evening session. Lynn Cummings and Rosemary Sarno won Flight C during the day.
