Racing in J24 boats in the Great Sound the RHADC team, comprising Francis Carter, Peter Bromby, Trevor Boyce and Chuck Millican, took the best-of-three series 2-1 over counterparts John Thompson, Andreas Lewin, Paula Lewin and Tim Patton.

Still, they were made to come from behind after losing the first race which was sailed in a moderate 15 miles per hour breeze.

Race two witnessed a shorter course being used, something the RHADC group found much to their liking.

Paula Lewin managed to cross the line first, but she was followed by the RHADC quartet which was enough to claim the title.

CROSS COUNTRY CC Bermuda's cross country season opens this Saturday morning with the first senior event over the Warwick sand dunes, starting at Chaplin Bay car park at 9.00 a.m.

The opening race is being organised by Swan's Running Club and the cross country series is again sponsored by Federal Express.

Registration begins at 8.00 a.m. on Saturday with an entry fee of $2.
