All-rounder Trott inspires Parish
the three opening round BF&M Under-16 league games on the weekend.
St.David's, Hamilton Parish and Southampton all picked up wins.
Trott, the younger brother of Bailey's Bay player Clarkie Trott, inspired Hamilton Parish to a 77-run victory over Warwick at Shelly Bay on Saturday by first scoring 63 in their total of 227-6 from 40 overs and then claimed four for 18 off his allotted eight overs.
Also contributing for Parish were Jim West (50 not out), Kaiwan Simmons (21), captain Stephen Outerbridge (20) and D.Lovell (21).
J.Belboda and D.Stovell both claimed two wickets apiece for Warwick who replied with 150-9 in 40 overs. Captain D.Lovell was their high man with 32.
Chris Foggo, already in the St. David's senior team and a member of last year's Bermuda side for the International Youth Tournament, showed his promise with 93 not out in the St.David's total of 216-4 against Sandys. S.Raynor contributed 50.
Sandys replied with 146 as Nas Wade hit the top score of 33 while J.Mills scored 28.
Mackie Crane's 31 came in a losing cause for St. George's against Southampton.
St. George's could only manage 122 in 21.3 overs, a total Southampton passed with the loss of five wickets as K.Tucker scored 31 and A.Raynor 24 not out.
The match between Pembroke and Smith's, scheduled for Warwick Sec. field, was not played.
Meanwhile, the Shell Under-13 League -- 20 overs per side -- began last Friday evening with St. George's, Hamilton Parish and St. David's winning their opening matches.
Freddy Hall scored 25 and captain Kori Hinds 18 as St. George's totalled 102-8. Opening bowler Andrew Raynor claimed four for 16.
Southampton replied with 78-5 with Raynor, voted man of the match, high man for his team with 15.
Brandon Trott scored 25 before retiring as Hamilton Parish used up 18 of their overs in reaching their winning target 94 with the loss of four wickets.
Rodney Trott scored 23 not out, and Tori Manders 23 as Hamilton beat Warwick by six wickets.
D.Stovell was high man for Warwick with 29 while Manders took two for 16.
Openers Jahson Crockwell and Fiqre Crockwell both scored 25 before retiring as St. David's beat Sandys by five wickets. Set 64 for victory, St. David's reached their target at Saltus field in 17 overs.
Earlier, S.Fubler scored 20 in the Sandys total of 63 as Fiqre Crockwell claimed four for 13.
