Bermuda Blue failed to clinch a spot in the final of the under 16 division of the Bermuda Youth Soccer Cup last night at BAA field when Middletown Arsenal

Neither team had a win going into last night's final round-robin match, Bermuda having drawn their first two matches and Middletown losing their first two.
The result did not alter the standings with Bermuda finishing third in the four-team standings, as Bermuda White clinched the second spot in the final with three points from their three matches.
They will meet FC Delco Black of Atlanta who head the group with five points, having beaten Bermuda White 3-1 earlier yesterday.
In the under-19 division, New Jersey Comets finished in first place after their three round-robin matches with six points, having scored 19 goals. Last night's late match between Bermuda and New York Hota was to decide the other finalist, with Bermuda needing only a draw, or a loss by less than three goals would assure them of beating Silverlake Strikers for the other spot.
The under-16 final will be held at the National Stadium at 4 p.m. today, to be followed at 6 p.m. by the under-19 final.
Lobster Pot will play two make-up Commercial Division matches in three days this weekend.
On Saturday will will play Devonshire Colts All-Stars at Frog Lane field at 1 p.m. while on Monday they will meet North Village Rams at BAA field at 8 p.m.
Meanwhile, the BFA is awaiting confirmation on a venue for the remaining Second Division match between Hamilton Parish and Social Club. The match was not played on March 6 at Wellington Oval.
SOFTBALL SOF A two-run homer by Jim Hindess, followed by Dave Earls' solo shot in the sixth and a pair of two-run singles by Allan DeCleir and Mike Malott in the seventh, provided Kempe and Whittle with a comfortable 18-13 victory over Marsh and McLennan in Commercial League play-off action on Tuesday.
Hindess and DeCleir finished the night with four-for-five while Peter Card went two-for-five and Steve Outerbridge three-for-four for the losers. Hindess and Card both hit home runs.
Dave King got the win while Nisala Weerasooriya suffered the loss.
Snowballs and Chips both registered 14-10 wins in the night's other matches, over Team Xerox and AIM respectively. Mario Valcourt blasted a three-run shot in the first for Snowballs, which was followed by Bruno Richard's solo effort as Snowballs took a commanding 6-0 lead.
Braxton Stowe's three-run homer in the sixth provided Snowballs with some insurance runs. Richard and Daniel Bordage both went three-for-four for Snowballs while Darryl Watson led Team Xerox with three-for-four and Chris Knight went two-for-four. Valcourt was the winning pitcher while Watson was the loser.
John Autour had a perfect four-for-four and Scott Suddaby three-for-four to lead Chips to their win. Tom McFarlane went two-for-three and pitcher Ken McDonald three-for-four for AIM. Joe Logan was the winning pitcher.
NETBALL NET The Sunday League was completed on the weekend with champions 7-Up Netts ending their league season with a perfect record from 16 games when they thrashed PCC 63-13 at Bernard Park.
7-Up Netts never looked back after leading 25-1 after the first quarter and 39-3 at the half. That lead was stretched to 48-9 at the end of the third quarter as Antoinette Williams led the Netts scoring with 35 goals and Dawnette Smith supported with 28. Karen Jones scored all 13 goals for PCC.
Olympic Panthers finished second in the standings, four points behind the champions, when they beat mid-table Running Rebels 21-16. Jimela Johnson scored 13 goals for Panthers and Connica Smith eight while Patree Hayward and Dionne Bell netted eight each for Rebels.
Another one-sided result saw Netts hammer AICO 39-9 with Kimale Pitt scoring 19, Gina Christopher 15 and Taneisha Butler five for the winners. The other match saw Boulevard and Wolves draw 22-22.
Dawnette Daniels scored 12 and Chenita Zuill 10 for Boulevard while Valerie Lee and Chris Cook netted 11 apiece for Wolves. Boulevard led 6-1 after the first quarter and 10-7 at the half before Wolves came back to lead 15-13 after the third quarter.
BOXING BOX Local promoter Eddy DeMello will be televising the world heavyweight title fight between Evander Holyfield and Michael Moorer for Holyfield's IBF and WBA belts on April 22.
Holyfield (30-1) regained the title from Riddick Bowe late last year and will attempt to ruin Moorer's perfect record, which stands at 34-0. Moorer is a former light heavyweight champ.
On the undercard is the IBF lightweight title fight between champion John John Molgina of Puerto Rico (34-5) and former champion Gregorio Vargas of Mexico (29-4-1).
American Junior Jones (34-3) defends his WBA bantamweight title in the opener against compatriot John Michael Johnson (17-4).
DeMello expected to have three venues -- BAA clubhouse, Prison Officers and Vasco da Gama club.

RUGBY RUG The Bermuda Irish squad will train at National Sports Club at 10.30 a.m.
on Saturday followed by the Bermuda Invitational squad at noon.
Sunday's Easter Classic will start at 3 p.m.
GOLF GLF Riddell's Bay will hold a Good Friday Pro Shop Tournament tomorrow and all players are asked to be at the club at 8 a.m. for an 8.30 shot-gun start.
