for the large crowd at Vesey Street.

Bill Booth's new pony LA Winning Ticket overcame a few problems from the past couple of weeks and ran away with the two year old stakes, winning the final dash in 1:13/3. Dal Vaconcelas drove El Dreamer to second place and Bow Tie's Pocket Watch with Eddie Roque was third.

Michael DeCosta's speedy new pony GV Colonel Spence won the three-year-old stakes in a fast 1:08.

Gold Made and Joe Correia finished second and Bobby DeGraffe's Rocket Ride was third.

The four-year-old stakes final dash provided the most excitement when Tell Me About It driven by Nick DeCosta caught Trott Acre Byrd driven by Robert Lopes in the home stretch and went on to win by a fifth of a second, 1:0 9/2-1:09/3.

What looked like a driver's mental lapse may have caused Lopes a big pay day.

Arthur Hurst's Good Hands Charlie was a distant third in 1:15/1. Samantha Hayward and Bobby DeGraffe shared driving honours with three wins each.

Hayward won two races with Todd's Ebony who was racing for the first time this season. DeGraffe captured two exciting wins with Gusto's Crackerjack . The other double winner on the regular programme was Joseph Viera's Grand Magic .

The Tucker's Stables were out for the first time this season and Leroy Tucker drove Pleasant Surprise to a first and second. Grand Shady driven by Nick DeCosta, won a free for all heat in 1:06 flat which was the fastest time of the day and one second off the track record.

Next race day is Monday, New Year's Day, and will feature the Renault EuroCar Bermuda Bred Stakes. Post time is 11 a.m.
