Blazers beaten in league opener

Devonshire Colts produced the first upset of the new season when they came from behind to beat highly fancied Boulevard 2-1 at BAA Field on Saturday night.

Boulevard opened the scoring in the fourth minute when Kenny Hill found the net. And though Boulevard had the better of the chances in that first half, Colts came charging back in the second with two goals in quick succession to begin their campaign with a deserved win.

Early in the half Colts equalised through Shakai Waldron following a scramble in the penalty area.

Soon after Boulevard were forced to replace Ed Oliver with Mitchell Steede and when play resumed a flighted cross to the far post caused some confusion between Steede and his defence before Jahmah Samuels ran behind the defence and scored after getting the ball under control.
