Marlboro cruised to a 19-11 win over Dr. Pepper to keep in touch with the leaders. Mike McCallum paced Marlboro who had second high team game of 977 and second high series of 2739. Clyde Burgess was tops for the losers.
Thompsons crushed Team Spirit 27-3 with Victor Thompson taking high game of 245 and third high series of 627. Team-mate Vernon Daniels had second high game of 244 and top series of 638. Thompsons also posted the best team game and series of the night with 1024 and 2859.
League leaders Tools and Equipment eased by Franklin Travel 25-5 with Steven Riley leading the way with third high game of 229 and second high series of 634. T&E recorded the third high team game and series of 944 and 2723. Robert Flood was high man for the losers.
The final match saw both teams roll short-handed with Stevedoring Services downing New Mix-Ups 20-10.
No league games are scheduled for this Thursday.
SNOOKER SNO Sandys Sports Club reclaimed top spot in the Second Division following a 6-0 dismantling of Spanish Point Boat Club in latest snooker action.
Notching singles wins for Sandys were Zane, Anthony and David DeSilva along with team-mate Gary Skinner, while the tandems of Zane and David DeSilva, and Anthony DeSilva and Gary Skinner captured doubles triumphs.
For Sandys, the result set up a season ending showdown with Old Colony Club II, currently locked on 39 points with Queens Club II. Sandys lead with 42 points.
Meanwhile, Old Colony Club II stumbled as they drew 3-3 with Sandys Boat Club.
Richie Davis and Gary Soares won singles matches for Old Colony, while Henry Kaye and Davis teamed for a doubles win.
For Sandys Mike Tatem and Martin Siese were successful playing singles, with Siese joining G.Connor for a doubles win.
The remaining match saw Old Colony Club III and Police Recreation Club also battle to a 3-3 tie.
ROAD RUNNING RUN Swan's Running Club will hold their monthly meeting at the offices of the Department of Youth and Sport tonight at 7.00. Main topic of discussion will be the club trip to this year's Atlanta Peachtree 10K. Those interested in competing should attend.
