Bromby, White finish 11th

White recovered to place 11th out of 58 competitors at the North American Star Championships just off Annapolis, Maryland.

With Bromby skippering and White as crew the pair managed to save the best for last, placing sixth and seventh in the final two races of the six race series.

This contrasted with earlier showing during the week when a PMS -- premature start -- and 34th stood out and had the local pair trailing well down the standings.

"We got going in the end,'' said Bromby who ended with 70 points. "The biggest problem was that we got off to such a bad start which was pretty painful.

"We're not unhappy with the 11th considering the circumstances.'' Recent Brut Gold Cup competitor Ross MacDonald of Canada won with 31 points, followed by Germany's Frank Butzmann on 32.
