Amateur Match Play Championship at Riddell's Bay Golf and Country Club yesterday.

Brough's two-over-par 72 left him two shots clear of Fraser Hunt and Scott Roy in the 15-17 age group. Hunt took second place on retrogression. In the 13-14 age group, David Smith scored the low round of the day with a 72, two strokes better than Aaron James and Jarryd Dillas.

Andy Boyce was the star of the field in the 12 and under division, carding a 74 to finish just one shot clear of Sean Harlingten, with Tyler Marshall's 82 enough to give him third place.

The match play part of the event begins today, again at Riddell's Bay.
