refiled in Miami yesterday, and a warrant issued for his arrest.

The moves were revealed by Mr. David Weinstein, chief of narcotics at the Dade County Attorney's Office in Miami.

Mr. Weinstein said the arrest warrant was a routine procedure, and was not taken because Wade had gone missing.

A trial date would have to be fixed for Wade, who faces charges of possessing and importing cannabis.

February trial dates have already been set for the five other adult Under-23 players who were arrested last month at Miami International Airport on the same charges.

Mr. Weinstein said Herbert Dillas, Shawn Riley, Donnie Charles, Keishon Smith and Kevin Jennings were scheduled to appear for trial next month before separate judges.

This could change, however, if the prosecution agree to the cases being heard together.

"There has been no motion filed yet to consolidate the cases,'' Mr. Weinstein said.

The players' lawyer, Mr. H.T. Smith, has argued the hearings should be lumped together.

Meanwhile, a January 19 hearing at Miami's Family and Juvenile Justice Centre has been arranged for Tokia Russell, the 17-year-old arrested with the other six players.

Mr. Weinstein said the hearing would allow the prosecution to report whether they intended pursuing the case in an adult or juvenile court.

The names of the seven players were missing from an Under-23 training squad list released yesterday by the Bermuda Football Association as preparations begin for the Pan-Am Games in Argentina in March. See Sport,Page 19.
