Charles Roberts retained his Unicorn Trophy for the second straight year when he defeated Jimmy Pratt in an exciting final.
Pratt, who scored a perfect 180 to tie Wayne Harvey with five for the year, had hoped to force a play-off to grab the coveted darts crown, but Charles did not give an inch.
In the grand league finals, First Division winners Nationals were matched against Second Division champs Vasco II in a fierce contest. After the singles games the teams were deadlocked at 2-2, but in the first game of the doubles Nationals claimed victory. With the score tied 3-3 in the second game Joe Tavares took command helping Nationals to a 4-3 win and the title.
In President's Cup action, Fourth Division winners Strike Zone pulled off the year's biggest upset when they defeated Third Division champs Vasco III 4-1.
Prize presentations for the season will take place on Saturday, June 5 at Vasco da Gama at 8 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door at $10 per person.
TENNIS TEN The All Bermuda Tennis Club will be holding a Heritage Month mixed doubles round robin tournament on Sunday starting at 1 p.m. Registration is at 12.30 p.m. and the cost is $12 per person. There will be no late registration.
