The other is forward Stevie Wade.

Smith is seeking a move to North Village while Wade wants to join up with Dandy Town.

The pair are among several Cougars players who filed for transfers at the end of last season after their team failed to stay in the First Division.

Devonshire Rec. are believed to be objecting because the pair came up through their junior ranks, and if this is so then they will be eligible to collect the $2,500, which the player's new clubs will have to pay out. But Devonshire officials were reluctant to discuss the matter when contacted this week.

There are also strong rumours that Devonshire Rec. have appealed against the transfers of some of the other players leaving their ranks, but the grounds on which they are objecting are unknown.

Club president Ellsworth Christopher remained tight-lipped about the club's position, saying that it was a matter between the club and the BFA.

"We have stated out objections to the BFA and will speak our mind when the opportunity presents itself,'' he said.
