Vermont women's track and field team win their second championship in two weeks.

Couper finished second in the 1500 metres at Saturday's New England Championships in Dedham, Massachusetts, as her team beat off the likes of Boston University and the University of Connecticut to win the annual meet for the first time since 1993.

Her time of four minutes, 29.94 seconds was 1.7 seconds outside Couper's own national 1500 metres record, set on the same track earlier this month, when she won to help her team to win the America East Conference meet for the first time in 11 years.

Couper, with team-mates Kristen Stange, Jessica Pinette and Alanna Jones, also earned a second place finish in the 4x800 metres relay in a new University of Vermont record time of 9:01.54.
