David (Tank) Wall and Lynn Smith of the East End Mini Yacht Club returned home with creditable performances in the Phantom National Championships, which were

Wall finished second overall, just missing out on first place by one point to Jack Evans who, ironically, is the designer of the Phantom. Smith also sailed well and finished fourth in the six-race regatta, which was sailed in very light and shifting wind conditions.

Meanwhile, the East End Mini Yacht Club is planning to hold a winter series for the comets and any interested sailors from the other two clubs, Mid Atlantic and West End Sailbot Club, should contact the fleet captain at the EEMYC, Daren Heyliger for further information.

TRIATHLON TRI Monday is the last day for entries for the team triathlon, which is scheduled for next Sunday. Forms can be obtained from local sports shops and left there with the entry fee.

RUGBY RUG Touring Bristol University will take on the President's XV in their final match on Monday at National Sports Club (5.30 p.m.).
