The Renault-Euro Car Bermuda Bred Stakes were the highlight of the day at the Vesey Street track.

Bow Tie's Pocket Watch with Eddie Roque was the two-year-old champion, Ponder Dawn driven by Michael Roberts won the three-year-old division and Tux's Little Rocket and Joseph Viera took the four-year-old award.

Roberts had three winners and shared the driving honours with DeCosta and Arthur Hurst who also scored triple victories.

Double winners included Show Time (Kenny Mills) and GV Colonel Spence (Michael DeCosta).

Colonel Spence won in 1:08 and 1:06.3 and has one leg out and is heading for the Free For All. Pascal Ducket's Jennifer Time is now in the Junior Free For All, while Gold Mate (Joe Corriea) and Bobby DeGraff's Rocket Ride have one leg out.

The New Year Harness Racing programme was sponsored by International Fixed Odds Limited, Spicelands Riding Centre and Continental Airlines.
