A nine-run, nine-hit second inning, which included back-to-back homers by Andy Cook and Mark Kaplan, put Casualties on the road to victory as Kaplan was the winning pitcher and Dave Alexander the loser.

Cook had a double, two home runs and five RBI in his four-for-five while Ken McPearson and Dave Brining both went two-for-four for Casualties. Jim Hindess had a perfect four-for-four while Mike Mallot went three-for-four for the losers.

PM beat Tucker's Tees 17-11, scoring most of their runs in the late innings.

PM were behind 7-4 after the fourth inning but three runs in the fifth and eight more off eight hits with two men out in the sixth gave them an easy victory.

A fly ball to the centre-fielder Dave Sousa by Scott Corday was caught and Sousa then threw out Paul Lindo who was trying to advance to third. The third baseman Stanley Greenslade caught Nick Doran rounding second base with a throw to his second baseman Brian Calhoun for the tag out.

Jonathan Smith went four-for-five, including a homer and six RBI, while Ed Fry supported with three-for-four for the winners. For Tucker's Tees, Nick Doran went three-for-three and Russell Dey two-for-two.
