will take place on Monday morning.

Minister of Works and Engineering Leonard Gibbons and other dignitaries will be present for the opening at 10.00 a.m.

The driving range is the latest addition in a multi-million dollar improvement scheme which has seen Government give the Devonshire course a complete overhaul.

In addition to a new clubhouse and pro shop which opened last year, the nine-hole course has been enhanced by improved greens and fairways and new hazards, including a pond in front of the par-three ninth.

The driving range will be only Bermuda's third such facility -- the other two being located at Government-owned Port Royal in Southampton and Mid Ocean Club in Tucker's Town.

However, local businessman Richard Farge is also planning to open a two-tier range in Southampton later this year.
