Fahy clocked 55.44 seconds in the 100 metres freestyle during the weekend Spring Series Meet at the BASA Pool, earning the triple A distinction and thus earning a spot on the team next to Tamika Williams, Nuri Latham, Stephen Troake and Paul Fox.

The youngster just missed out on also meeting the grade in the 100 and 200 metres butterfly.

A total of 28 events were held, with other creditable performances being executed by Alicia Mullan with a 10:21.14 in the 800 metres freestyle, while Trevor Ferguson won a highly competitive 400, posting 4:27.59 to finish narrowly ahead of Ronald Cowen (4:34.69).

The next meet in the series will take place on Saturday, June 3.
