Four Ball suffers blow-out: Bermuda Brief
forced cancellation of the second round of the men's Bermuda Four Ball Championships at Port Royal.
The four-day tournament has now been reduced to a 54-hole event with play continuing today and tomorrow.
Defending champions Bill Pitt and Henry Ascento share the lead with another local pair, Ian Page and David Hunter, after both carded 68s on Thursday.
The adverse conditions also prevented the start of the first round of the ladies Four Ball and that event has also been reduced, from 54 to 36 holes, with play starting today and finishing tomorrow.
Defending champions Alisa Hardy and Madeline Joel are not among the field but former top local player Ginette Spinucci, now based in Georgia, is and will be expected to challenge with partner Darlene Werhnyak.
