Owned and skippered by George David and representing New York Yacht Club, the N/M 50 proved untouchable throughout morning and afternoon racing, dominating Class Two, in beating out the likes of Stephen Munger's Harrier and Carl Olsson's Morning Glory for division honours.

Overall on the day it was Blue Yankee -- which won Class One -- that tabulated to second place, as Robert Towse enjoyed a solid day at the helm, while Munger this time was forced to settle for third.

Other class action saw Nicole skippered by T.Coleman DuPont of Tred Avon top Class Six, followed by Peter Rebovich's Sinn Fein and E.Eric Crawford's Restless .

Financed by owner Frederic Joyce and skippered by William Kardash The Ugly Duckling appeared anything but in taking Class Five honours. Second was Crescendo (Martin Jacobsen), while Carpe Diem (Michael Fracchia) ended third.

Jim Bishop piloted Gold Digger to the head of Class Four, with Runaway (Lawrence Glenn) not quite able to get loose.

Finally, Temptress with local yachtsman Kirk Cooper aboard alongside American Richard Schulman topped Class Three over Syrocco (Samuel Fortenbaugh III) and Rampage (Doug Borden).

Last night witnessed a sea of bodies in Barr's Bay Park, with much revelry as the competitors, families and other interested parties cut loose.

The official prize presentation takes place tonight at Government House.
