Jamel roars ahead
winning the 125B class in latest action, breaking a tie with Wentworth Tucker and opening up a 21-point lead.
While Pitcher enjoyed a hat-trick of wins in the cool, windy conditions at Coney Island on Sunday, Tucker could only manage a fourth place and three fourths.
Carlston Burgess and Ottis Ingham battled each other with Burgess gaining the upper hand to finish second while Ingham was third. Burgess retains third place overall on points while Ingham moved into fifth.
Jimmy Lee Weaver also scored a hat-trick in the 125C class to move from eighth to third in points while Treadwell Nesbitt still holds the overall lead despite finishing second on the weekend with a fourth and two seconds. Craig Ferguson was third for the third week running.
Craig Panchaud, second in points, rode an 80 in the 125 race and placed second to Weaver in the first moto. He also salvaged five points in the next race after a plug failed, but didn't compete in the third race.
Gary Cann and Aaron Cannonier raced neck and neck in the first 80cc moto with Cannonier eventually winning by a half wheel over his rival. However, Cann bounced back to win the next two motos and Cannonier had to settle for second in each.
Tullio Escolastica became the newest winner as he defeated Gary Cann in the first 60cc moto. But again Cann hit back to win the next two and take top honours for the day.
Zahkie Iris had his wheel repaired after it broke last week and won the 50cc class while Chad Sutherland was second.
