re-elected by Bermuda Cricket Board of Control at their annual general meeting.

James was voted in as president for the third year in a row while first vice-president Randy Horton was elected for the second year running, both standing unopposed.

Also returned to the executive were secretary Charlotte (Molly) Simons and second vice-president Reginald Pearman who has been a long-serving cricket executive.

The new additions are national coach Allan Douglas who comes in as assistant secretary, and treasurer Neil Speight who is returning after a one-year absence.

The six club representatives are James Pace, John Tucker, Dennis Archer, Gladstone Brown, Delby Borden and Hoyt Zuill.

James said he felt "privileged'' to be serving again, especially since the Board were entering a term which should prove to be one of their busiest in several decades.

Highlights of the upcoming cricket season will include a number of international competitions featuring the senior, under-19 and under-15 national squads.

"It's definitely going to be an exciting year for the fans and players, starting off this week with the incoming visit by Eton College who will be playing our under-19s and against some of our senior players,'' said James.

"With the bulk of the executives still on the Board it enables us to proceed with the plans that we wanted to see materialise and I am confident that we have a nucleus remaining capable enough to carry on with the business in a professional manner. A lot is happening and it will require the energies of everybody involved.'' Meanwhile, the Western Counties have cleaned house by bringing in new executives following their troubled season of a year ago when a discrepancy over player registration during the third round saw the dispute taken as far as magistrates' court.

At their annual general meeting last week, former Southampton, Somerset Cup Match and Bermuda international Shiraz Ali replaced long-serving official Reginald Outerbridge as president while Keith Wainwright was named vice president.
