his second appearance as a Swindon Town player today.

Lightbourne (32) is set to be paired with teenage striker Alan Young when the Robins take on Bury in a must-win Second Division clash.

Swindon are staring the drop to the Third Division in the face and the on-loan Bermudian has been drafted in by manager Andy King to bang in the goals that will help move them away from the relegation zone.

Lightbourne, transfer listed by Second Division promotion hopefuls Stoke City, played in Swindon's last league game -- a 1-0 home defeat by Port Vale.

However, two games scheduled since have had to be postponed because of adverse weather.

Meanwhile, fellow Bermudian Shaun Goater is expected to be on the bench when Manchester City take on Coventry in the FA Cup this afternoon. Boss Joe Royle will play Paulo Wanchope up front alongside new-signing Darren Huckerby.

COLLEGE TEAM PULL OUT PP College team pull out The annual `withdrawal bug' has once again struck Bermuda Table Tennis Association Bermuda College this week announcing their departure from the Bank of Butterfield League and Gosling's Challenge Cup.

After floundering at the bottom of the standings throughout the first half and into the season's second, with eight league losses in as many outings, the College decided to call it quits.

As a result of the withdrawal the league is reduced to five teams, with all sides originally scheduled to face Bermuda College now receiving byes.

Meanwhile, this week's action witnessed a giant step by defending champions Old Colony Club towards retaining the league title as they brushed aside chief challengers BPSA 7-4.

Nick Frost, Dave Waltham and Chris Fleming were all in sparkling form for Colony, while BPSA countered with Myron Piper and Alden Ray. It was only the second loss suffered by the union side, but perhaps the most damaging.

BPSA remain on top of the standings with 14 points, compared to 12 for Old Colony, but the reigning champs have two games in hand and a vastly superior games differential.

In other action Prison Officers massacred Police Recreation Club 10-1 as Curtis Hodgson and Barry Rahman each went unbeaten, while Calvin Butterfield won two of his three matches.

Eastern Stars recorded a 11-0 triumph over the Bermuda College no-shows, while Police were likewise awarded an 11-0 result due to the failure of the College to find time to play their match postponed from the fourth round.

All is not lost, however, with the tournament due to be rescheduled for a later date.
