at Premier League Coventry after this weekend when his loan period at Second Division Fulham ends.

The Bermudian striker joined Fulham on a month's loan in January but so far hasn't been approached about a permanent move to the London club who have spent about 6 million to bring in new players.

"I will listen to what they have to offer, but I don't really want to move,'' said Lightbourne.

"I prefer to stay where I am and fight for a spot and hope my chance will come.'' Even record signing Viorel Moldovan of Romania has been unable to break up Coventry's front line partnership of Dion Dublin and Darren Huckerby, who had reportedly been linked with a move to Manchester United which fell through.

"It just goes to show how difficult it can be because he's (Moldovan) their record signing and he's not even been playing,'' said Lightbourne. "Dion and Darren have been playing really well.

"This (loan) was for me to get a few games under my belt and it's helped me a lot and got me going. Hopefully when I go back after Saturday's game it will be different for me.'' Lightbourne has scored in the last two games for Fulham, including a well taken effort from just inside the box on Saturday against Grimsby. Now he is looking for more success against bottom team Southend.

"They are on the bottom but are a good team. They just came down from the First Division last year,'' Lightbourne pointed out.

"They have Neville Southall (on loan) in goal for them and they have some decent players. The problem Fulham have at home is that teams are coming in and putting 11 players behind the ball and trying to make it difficult.

"In a way they prefer to play away from home.'' Fulham sought Lightbourne's services to boost their goal-scoring in the push for promotion. And it's possible they may try to extend the loan period or sign the Bermudian permanently.

"I only have a few days left and nothing has been said,'' added the striker.

"I think I've done quite well since I've been here. "They would most likely deal with the club (Coventry) first and then speak to me. Maybe something will be said after the weekend.'' Commercial League champions BAA Wanderers prevented Robin Hood from opening a six point lead at the top of Group A when they handed the leaders a 3-0 defeat on Monday night at BAA Field. Chris Smith, Vincent Chaves and Thomas Gribbon scored the goals for Wanderers which moved them back into a tie for the top spot.
