Tina Lee's two-run double highlighted Sousa's eight-run third inning as they surged ahead 11-6 in a bid to reduce the 2-0 series deficit.
However, Jason Johnson blasted a solo shot in the fourth and later singled in two runs in the fifth as Fidelity evened the score at 12-12.
With no tie-breaker in the finals, Sousa's went down in order in the top of the eighth while Fidelity clinched it as John Thorne scored from third base on McNeil McGowan's fielder's choice.
In the `D' Division, Skandia kept their hopes alive with an 11-9 victory over Team Fashions, which left them trailing 2-1 in the best-of-five series.
A two-run single by Mick Stacy in both first and second innings allowed Skandia to take a commanding 8-2 lead.
However, Team Fashions scored four runs in the top of the sixth, including RBI hits by Allan Barker, Gary Flood and Mike Montgomery to even the score at 9-9.
Skandia struck back in the bottom of the inning as Aodh O'Murchu's RBI single proved to be the winning hit, and a bases-loaded walk to Mick Stacy sealed the win.
The Snowballs posted their first win in their `C' Division clash with Arthur Andersen, taking the match 10-4.
Blake Fizzard's two-run double and Mario Valcourt's two-run homer, both in the third, together with Francois Morin's three-run blast in the seventh, helped The Snowballs stay in the series.
Young Men's Social Club Jets will hold a training session at Dellwood School next Tuesday at 6 p.m. All players and others wishing to play for the club in the upcoming season are advised to attend. HARNESS RACING RAH Michael DeCosta and Nateway did it again last Sunday. They clipped one and two-fifths of a second off the record they set the previous race day.
The track record now stands at 1:09/1.
In the first free-for-all, Nateway started in the outside position to win in 1:11/1, closely followed by J.B.'s Hurry Home "J''. Grand Magic was a disappointing third.
By virtue of his first race win, Nateway had pole position for the second heat and led from start to finish to smash the record. Hurry Home was second again, and Grand Magic third.
Ho Down Don, driven by Daniel Greenslade, put a stop to Sandacre Tashiba's winning streak by taking both heats in the junior free-for-all, the second in a personal best time of 1:13/2.
Ell Dee's Uncle Bud, driven by Charles Whited, had two great victories and now stands first in the points table. Two more good performances on the final race day of the season -- April 12 -- would see him win the top racing pony award.
In an exciting race in the lower half of the 1:17-1:19/4 time bar, V Six, driven by Edward Roque, also had two good wins after neck-and-neck encounters with Penny's Wildwood and Michael DeSilva.
The veteran trotter Meadow Rose, driven by Francis DeSilva, won both her heats, holding off the challenge of Charger's Rob Roy and Mark Lindo.
BOWLING BOW The Bermuda Women's Bowling Association Annual Championships produced a bumper entry and some fine play at Warwick Lanes at the weekend.
The Division One doubles was won by Janel Shorter and Antoinette DeCouto with 1,287, while the Division Two doubles champions Carolyn Wilson and Angel Stovell set a record with 1,334.
The previous Division Two doubles record of 1,304 was set by Paynter and Lois Maybury back in 1988.
Carolyn Foston from the US Naval Air Station scooped the Division One singles title with a 695, while Carol-Lee Wellman took the Division Two prize with 713.
In the all events categories in Division One, it was Foston again who emerged the winner with a 1,975 handicap total. Pat Ming-Albuoy topped the scratch list with 1,694.
Wilson was another double winner, taking the Division Two all events handicap prize with a 1,986. Marilyn Simmons took the scratch title with 1,529.
The prize presentation is set for April 26 at the Belmont and will take place at a brunch following the BWBA AGM.
Marlboro rolled their way to the Miller High Life League title with a 22-8 thumping of Gosling's last week.
Their high team series 3,037 and game 1,085 was more than enough to defeat their opponents, who themselves returned third high series 2,829.
Doug Hines posted the night's top individual series of 678 and game of 274.
That, together with Chris Bardgett's second high series 653 and Richard Zuill's 618 was too much for Gosling's, as only Hank Rawlins countered with a 618.
Former champions Tools & Equipment kept up the pace with a 24-6 beating of Stevedoring Services, while Tomp's Towing Services got by Franklin Travel by the same convincing margin.
Navy All-Stars were also big winners, getting past Spoilers 241 -51 as all five team members recorded 500-plus series.
The final match of the evening proved the closest, with New Mix Ups eventually getting the better of Signature Card by a 17-13 margin.
MOTOCROSS SCR Aaron Pace ended his Bermuda Auto-Cycle Union Pepsi Championship season in fine style to take not only the 125 Novice class but also to tot up the largest number of victories of any rider.
Pace enjoyed 39 moto victories this season to put him ahead of 125 Expert champion Justin Belboda with 36.
Damon Simons, who missed the latter part of the season because of injury, was third overall with 22 wins. He also finished third in the 80cc class behind Kemo Simons and Chris Maxwell.
Gary Simons took the 250 Novice title, while Robert Smith emerged as the 250 Expert champ.
In addition to regular competition at the weekend, there were also two 50cc Pee Wee races, in which Sergio Trott got the better of Lorenzo Trott.
MARTIAL ARTS MAT Bermudian Bob R. Smith, chief instructor of the Traditional Academy of Martial Arts, will be leaving the Island today to attend a gasshuku (training seminar), which will be conducted by Master Morio Higaonna on April 4 and 5.
Higaonna is the world's leading authority and historian of traditional Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate-Do.
The seminar will be hosted by internationally recognised instructor Chuck Merriman at his Karate International headquarters in Niantic, Connecticut.
