Lions hammered by Prison Officers

the Commercial Division, Group B on Saturday as a total of 23 goals came from the two contests.

Prison Officers hammered Devonshire Lions 11-2 after former Bermuda international defender Dennis Brown started the scoring with the first of his two goals in the ninth minute. Brown also netted in the 39th minute while Gregory Simons scored a hat-trick for Officers. He was on target in the 67th, 72nd and 81st minutes.

Other goals came from Reginald Pitcher (two) in the 18th and 43rd minutes, Brian Brangman (25th), Aaron Adams (56th, 69th) and Kenneth Butterfield (65th). Lions replied through Donald Norford and Anthony Amory in the 44th and 86th minutes.

Troy Furbert netted a hat-trick as Fire Service beat Wolves Pack 6-4. Steven Caines, Brendon Outerbridge and Tracy Bean scored the other Fire Service goals while Kirt Douglas, Cecil Hendrickson, Sammy Lambe and Derek Douglas scored for Wolves.

St. George's All-Stars beat Park United 2-0 with goals from Cal Rayner and Milton Jones while Somerset Extros got by Valley 2-1 on goals from Douglas Durrant and Charles Swan.

In a Commercial Knockout Cup match North Village Rams beat Lobster Pot 2-1.

Wendell Baxter and Cal Dill scored for Rams and Anthony Smith for Lobster Pot.

In Alliance Division knockout Dandy Town edged by Somerset 2-1 thanks to goals from Peter Sampson and Shakai Whitter. Kwame Tucker replied for the Trojans.

Prospect beat St. David's 4-0 as John Richmond (two), Dennis Archer and Andrew Rollins found the target.
