Bermuda suffered their first setback at the World Youth Netball Championships on Thursday when they went down 53-47 to Singapore.
The lead changed hands several times in a highly-competitive encounter between two evenly-matched sides.
But it was Singapore who were to prove the stronger, bouncing back from heavy defeats earlier in the tournament, at the hands of England and New Zealand, to claim a hard-fought victory.
Bermuda, with two victories under their belt going into the game, had fancied their chances of making it three in a row. But it was not to be.
And, due to face Caribbean neighbours Barbados yesterday and Lesotho today, Bermuda know that next week the going will get even tougher. The challenge of powerhouse teams England and New Zealand awaits them, along with the might of Wales.
