Nationals defeated Swifts 3-1 in Bermuda Ladies Hockey Association A division play on Saturday.
Orioles took the initiative in the first half when they grabbed a 2-0 lead on goals by Claudette Sherwood.
Swifts played well defensively in the second half but they couldn't deny Sherwood from completing her hat-trick late in the game.
Despite the loss, there was some satisfaction for Swifts with four 13-year-olds performing well on their senior team debut.
In a match-up of the same clubs in the B Division, Orioles edged Swifts 2-1, taking a 1-0 first half lead through Sherwood.
But Swifts fought back gamely and levelled the score early in the second half with Megan Spurling running through the defence to put home a shot. Orioles got the victory with a Lisa Ray goal during the final minutes.
On Sunday, Canaries edged Cardinals 2-1. They took an early 1-0 lead on a goal by Ali Cameron and made it 2-0 just before the break when Kerry Quigley netted. Cardinals made it 2-1 from a flick.
