Netts wiped out AICO's two-point lead in the First Division last weekend -- but idle AICO still hold down top spot on goal difference.

Netts beat Coca-Cola 38-23 as Carolyn Binns scored 32 goals and Kim Minors six. For Coke, Carol Bean netted 15 and Sherrita Steede eight.

Third-placed PCC edged by North Village 42-40 in a high-scoring game as Rose Richardson (24) and Sheena Maybury (18) offset the efforts of Alex Dowling (26) and Nikita Trott (13).

In the other First Division match, Olympic Panthers hammered Hamilton Parish 40-16 with Kelly Trott scoring 25 and Nyland Adams 15. Edith Hill and Suzette Albuoy netted seven each while Davita Gibbons shot the other two for the losers.

In Second Division action last Sunday, the two Netts teams continue to dominate as the Whites picked up their 13th straight win after PCC defaulted while second-placed Netts Greens beat Boulevard 36-17. Shallan Dennis scored 20 and Gina Christopher 16 for the winners.

Panthers and Warwick Redbirds drew 30-30 with Flo Simmons (20), Conicca Smith (four) and Ateena Raynor (six) scoring for Panthers and Denise Booth (18) and Debra Saltus (12) replying for Redbirds.

In the Junior Division, Hamilton Parish Yellow beat the Parish Reds 29-16 with Kelly Daniels scoring 17 and Sumaya Lambe 12 for the Yellows and Carmelita Smith and Tishe Smith eight apiece for the Reds.

PCC beat North Village 21-14 with Tenia Simmons Woolridge leading the PCC scoring with 13 while Sia Spence shot eight in support.

BOWLING BOW For the third week in succession results in the Miller High Life Bowling League have been lopsided, starting with a 20-10 win by Marlboro over Signature Card.

Thanks to a superb effort by Richard Zuill, who posted the night's high game and series of 258 and 694, Marlboro were able to post the high team game and series as well by rolling a 1,021 game and 2,857 series.

Tools and Equipment moved into first place by two points with their 22-8 win over Gosling's. Dean Lightbourne's second high series of 663 and joint third high game of 237 sparked the winners. T&E also posted the evening's second high team series of 2,775.

In the closest match, Franklin Travel won 20-10 over Spoilers after taking total pins by only four pins. Victor Simons led Franklin to a third high 967 game while Dudley Browne had a 232 game to lead the losers.

New Mix Ups shocked the slipping Tomp's Towing team by beating them 19-11 with the help of the night's second high team game of 1,008 and third high series of 2,746 -- their highs for the season.

Eddie Daniels led the way with his 601 series while Carson Bean rolled the night's second high individual game of 245 but could not maintain that pace for the losers.

The final match saw Stevedoring Services beat Team Spirit 19-11 with Roger Raynor having a 237 game to lead his team while Vernon Daniels had the third high series in a losing cause.

BRIDGE BDG Massachusetts residents Bill Hunter and Shome Mukherjee won the Flight A Stratified Pairs in the Bermuda Regional Bridge Tournament at the Southampton Princess hotel on Tuesday night.

They edged out Canada's Phyllis Shapiro and Judy Overland with Bermuda's Ernie Owen and John Burville finishing third in the 234-pair field.

Hunter and Mukherjee won the Masters Pairs last year and became the first non-Bermudian pair to win a major event this year.

Bermuda, however, continued its dominance with Vera Petty and Mike Comes winning Flight B and Joe Taussig and Eric Keen heading Flight C ahead of Debbie Roberts and Graham Fenton.

Two Bermuda teams have made it to the round of 16 in the Knockout Teams. Bill Souster, Alan Douglas, Ian Harvey and David Pereira survived along with Jack Rhind, David Cordon and Margie Way, playing with visitors Jean Johnson, Henry Francis and Dorothy Francis. Vera Petty also made it with three team-ates from England.

Play continues today with the fourth round of the Knockout Teams at 1 p.m, the A.S. Cooper Pairs at 1 p.m. and Flighted Open Pairs (second session) at 8.45 p.m. Side games and novice games will be scheduled at each session.

CRICKET CRI Bailey's Bay players are reminded that there is a meeting at the club tonight (7 p.m.). Anyone interested in joining the team is invited to attend.

There will be training for St. George's players at Garrison field on Sunday at 9 a.m.

Training for both the senior and the under-19 national squads will continue on Saturday at Berkeley school field at 9.30 a.m.

EQUESTRIANISM RAH Equestrianism The Driving Horse and Pony Club of Bermuda will hold its annual January driving show at the Botanical Gardens main ring on Sunday.

The show starts at 9 a.m. and will include fine harness horses and ponies, roadster ponies, pleasure driving horses and ponies, women and children's harness ponies, racing ponies and gymkhanas.
